What Is This Journal The American Online Journal of Science and Engineering (AOJSE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing original research across science, engineering, and interdisciplinary technology. Open Access Policy AOJSE provides immediate open access to all published content on the principle that freely available research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Readers may read, download, and share all articles at no cost, subject to the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license under which each article is published.

Copyright Notice Authors retain copyright of their work. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Peer Review Policy

  3. Double-blind review (author and reviewer identities concealed from each other)
  4. Reviewer reports returned to the editor with a recommendation
  5. Editorial decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject
  6. Revised manuscripts re-reviewed as needed
  7. Final acceptance, copyediting, and scheduling for publication

Plagiarism Policy All submitted manuscripts are screened using [NAME YOUR ACTUAL TOOL — e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, Crossref Similarity Check]. Manuscripts with a similarity index above [SET YOUR THRESHOLD — commonly 15–20%, excluding references/quotes] are returned to authors for revision or rejected outright. Confirmed plagiarism at any stage results in immediate rejection and, for published work, retraction.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement AOJSE adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. The journal is committed to preventing publication malpractice, including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission, and undisclosed conflicts of interest. Suspected misconduct is investigated in line with COPE guidelines, and outcomes may include correction, retraction, or notification to the author's institution.

Editorial Ethics and Independence Editorial decisions are based solely on a manuscript's academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, independent of the authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, religion, or any commercial consideration. Editors and reviewers with a conflict of interest regarding a submission recuse themselves from the review process.

Digital Preservation and Archiving / LOCKSS and CLOCKSS AOJSE is committed to the long-term preservation of published content. Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern Policy AOJSE follows COPE retraction guidelines. Published articles may be corrected (minor errors not affecting conclusions), retracted (serious flaws, misconduct, or ethical violations), or accompanied by an Expression of Concern (unresolved but credible concerns) at the editors' discretion, following investigation. All actions are clearly marked on the article's public page and linked to the original publication.

Complaints and Appeals Procedure Authors, reviewers, or readers with concerns about an editorial decision or the conduct of the review process may submit a written complaint to info@aojse.org . Complaints are acknowledged within 5 business days and reviewed by an editor not involved in the original decision. Appeals of rejection decisions must include a substantive rebuttal of the reviewers' concerns and are considered at the Editor-in-Chief's discretion.

Call for Special Issues AOJSE welcomes proposals for special issues on emerging or interdisciplinary topics within its scope. Guest editors should submit a proposal including the special issue theme, rationale, anticipated timeline, and a preliminary list of potential contributors to info@aojse.org.
